PS4 has the 100 million

The PS4 sells faster than the best-selling consoles of all time, while the switch holds with its pace.

Sony recently announced that the PS4 has reached an important milestone on sale despite its seventh year of life: it has delivered more than 100 million units worldwide. That s an enormous achievement, and if you look at the installation of the games that come to the PS4 over the next year, it does not look like these numbers slow down significantly in the near future.

But even more impressive is the pace with which the console has reached this milestone. On Twitter, Daniel Ahmad, Senior Analyst of Niko Partners, recently published some interesting numbers, which show that the PS4 has delivered 100 million units faster worldwide than the PS2 and the Nintendo Wii. Of course, these two are the best-selling home consoles of all time with sales of more than 150 million and 100 million, respectively. It is pretty sure that the PS4 overtakes the sales figures of the Wii (and very soon), but it will be interesting to see if they can fall the PS2.

In addition, it looks like Nintendo with the switch would be very well asserting. With 36 million units delivered worldwide, the switch corresponds more or less to the sales pace of the PS4. It remains to be seen if it can hold this pace over a longer period of time to reach the 100 million mark. This applies in particular to the next generation of Sony consoles and Microsoft s issue of quality exclusive, which you are currently distributing, could have a chance. These hardware revisions could also be helpful.
