Soon the solar goddess from Okami in Monster Hunter Rise serves as a riding and combatant.
Do you still know okami? If you can answer this question with yes, you are really great. Unfortunately, the action adventure, which appeared in 2006 in Japan and North America for the PlayStation 2 (2007 with us) and later for the Wii, PS3, PS4, the PC, the Xbox One and the Switch was implemented, on many players Passed. Okami was a sales flop, the developer Clover Studios closed Capcom only one year after the release. Due to the ports and new editions, however, it has achieved a certain cult status over the years. That should also be the reason why Capcom has now announced an OKami Crossover for Monster Hunter Rise.
On Twitter, the Japanese Publisher announced that Amaterasu lasted on 30 July in the monster hunting game, which has so far only for the Nintendo Switch (a PC version follows 2022), entry. If you should have no idea about Okami: Amaterasu is its main character and the solar goddess, the most important Kami of Shinto, a religion of Japan.

In Monster Hunter Rise, Amaterasu is a decorative armor set for your Palamute, which is unlocked by an event quest. That fits well, because in Okami the goddess has the shape of a wolf and the palamutes in Monster Hunter Rise are now dogs who accompany you on your hunts, serve you as a riding and mix strongly in the fight. So soon you can ride on Amaterasu and will be supported by her in the hooking of Rathalos, Tigrex and Co.
Capcom has already announced that there will be other collaborations of this kind in the future. Already in August, the next event is to take place in Monster Hunter Rise, two more episodes in the fall. Details not yet mentioned the company.
